Removal

Trees can add value to property from multiple aspects. However, circumstances do arise that make tree removal necessary. Dead and dying trees are hazardous and should be removed. Construction projects or aesthetic reasons also warrant tree removal. Reduction of tree inventory is another important consideration. Whatever the situation that necessitates your tree needing removed, we have the experience to safely take care of it. We are equipped to haul away all resulting debris and are determined to perform a thorough clean up.

Pruning

Trees that grow in a healthy forest mostly prune themselves in response to the environment in which they are growing. However, in a residential setting other factors necessitate pruning for health, structure, aesthetic appeal, fruit production, building clearance, and safety. Proper pruning is accomplished with a combination of knowledge, experience, ability, and thoughtfulness. Without training and understanding much harm and counterproductivity can result from improper pruning. As an ISA Certified Arborist, I am committed to pruning in accordance with techniques that seek to accomplish the goals of the customer while maintaining the health of the tree.

Tree Care

Much of the long term care of a tree is vitally connected to a healthy root system. Improper planting and improper mulching/soil care is a major contributor to tree health decline and death. Before having a tree planted it is good to gain education on site preparation that will help it thrive or have an arborist plant the tree for you. If soil or mulch has been amassed against the trunk of the tree the root collar needs to be exposed to the air by means of a root collar excavation, while circling and girdling roots need to be pruned. For either planting or root collar excavation let us help your trees achieve health from the roots up.

Cabling

As trees mature they sometimes need supplemental support to minimize the risk of branch failure. Tree cabling is a means of securing either a steel or synthetic cable in the upper portions of main trunk branches to decrease the amount of stress on the crotch union where two or more trunks attach to each other. This is particularly helpful when a customer desires to help protect a valuable tree from losing a major branch or limb. Upon evaluating your trees I will let you know if any would benefit from this service.

Specialty Services

I have a grapple loading dump trailer, which means I can load and unload logs easily. If you have trees to be removed and you would like them sawn into boards, I can either stack logs to be milled on site by someone with a portable mill or deliver them to be sawn at a permanent mill.
